Badger Creek Boarding Kennels & Cattery is situated on 18 acres on the outskirts of Healesville
(Melways Map 284, D2) in the picturesque Yarra Valley, surrounded by vineyards and grazing land. The kennel was established about 30 years ago, and has undergone extensive renovations in the past 24 months. Further improvements for the benefit of all boarders are planned.
You will be welcomed by the current owners, Paul and Ros O’Neill who have owned, shown and bred Old English Sheepdogs for nearly 30 years. We are members of the Pet Industry Association of Australia and the Victorian Canine Association. We currently share our lives with six OES (including three 11 year olds) and a 12 year old Shih Tzu cross.
From the moment your pet arrives at the reception door until it leaves our care, it will be treated like one of our own. Dogs and cats with special needs are happily catered for at no additional cost. And if you haven’t time or transport to bring your pet to Healesville, we will pick it up from your home.
All dogs are housed in individual runs with a separate sleeping compartment, and are exercised in one of the eighteen large grassed, fully fenced yards. Additional exercise yards are currently under construction. Soothing classical music is played day and night to help calm first-time boarders.
Your cat will be
housed in an individual multi-level pen with views
over the extensive gardens.
Other pets, including Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, and pet Chooks have recently joined our many happy boarders.
Inspections Welcome
We invite you to meet us and inspect our kennels from Monday to Saturday 9.00 am to 5 pm, or on Sundays between 11.00 am and 4.00 pm. While no appointment is necessary, we would ask you to come late in the morning, so that we can spend time with you after the morning rush of check-outs and cleaning.
